Professor Layton Puzzle Break Chocolate

The brilliant archaeologist/puzzologist gets his own branded chocolate from Glico, to celebrate the impending release of the latest (and possibly last!) Layton game in Japan. I imagine Layton sitting down between puzzles, having a bit of chocolate with his cup of tea. It sounds quite nice.

The candy comes in Gateau Chocolat and Tea Chiffon Cake flavors, and includes a scratch-off card that ties into a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Legacy of Super Civilization A.

DIY Mini Candy Christmas Lights Tutorial from Color Issue here. Make a bunch, put in a bag and print a tag that says something corny like, “You light up my life”, “Hope this brightens your XMAS” etc…

Chocolate bark I had to make after a friend on dA linked me to some. ;P

There are four types: dark chocolate with white chocolate topping and crushed peppermints, dark chocolate with white chocolate topping and crushed spearmints, milk chocolate with white chocolate topping and chopped nuts with chocolate drizzle, and white chocolate and nut with dark chocolate drizzle.

The peppermint and spearmint are Christmas only items.

A little while ago, someone mentioned these cookies to me and I decided to see if I could make them in clay.

Through quite a bit of trial and error, it turns out that I can. These little stained glass cookies are actually sort of see through in the middle. :)

I’ll be working with other shapes soon. These trees were just a test run.

They’ll be available in my Etsy store and in my Weebly store later today.

This was what I was doing pretty much all weekend: making mini hard candies.

So. Many. Canes. ._.

I’ll be using these in a few upcoming projects, so I wanted to make sure I was stocked up. c: I’ll also be posting these on my Etsy and Weebly shops for anyone who is looking for old fashioned hard Christmas candies.

Here is one of the larger pieces I mentioned before - a miniature gingerbread house Christmas tree ornament.

This was supposed to be 1:12 scale, but I think the pattern maker is confused on what the right scale is. :P Looks as though I’ll have to make my own for these!

None in the shop yet, since my grandmother saw this and immediately asked for it. XD I’ll be working on smaller ones for miniatures and making a few one of a kind ornaments as well.

1:12 Scale Rock Candy

Still playing around with candy for my pastry shop room box display.

Looking at old fashioned hard candies when I came across rock candy. GrandmaThunderpants has a great tutorial for how to make it out of clay ([link]), but I wanted to try another medium to get a more candy like look. So the actual candy isn’t polymer clay, but the sticks of the candy are. c:

Still need to work with it a bit more, but for a first try it came out well enough I think. :)
